Got to play my 90-planet game, scouted some systems: 33 systems scouted, average resource count is 3.58; and no i did not count my homeworld.

So from those few games i have seen, it really seems like the resource count doesnt depend on galaxy size, at least not much.

And yes, i use the "Resources used" filter, so i am counting total nimber of both resources.

Lots of pretty interesting changes this patch.   It's such a shame this all coincides with K being less readily available.

I thought I already commented on this, but I guess I didn't

Liking the MRS changes, though that seems like its almost as broken as it was previously. 5 seconds is almost as good as full mobility, especially with their new cloaking.
However, it is still 4k cost, so I guess it needs to be pretty good to live up to that.

EDIT:

Also really glad to see the AI properly accounting for low ship cap ships across multiple reinforcable points.

They settle quickly, yes, but their actual repair output is far less than it was in both simultaneous "lines" and how fast each thing is repaired.  It still does wonders for fleet survivability, though, and that with making them less annoying to use (because they take so long to set up and/or they die so fast) should make for something more overall useful.
