This one is really just a maintenance release.  There are a couple of balance tweaks that players requested, and we fixed a bug from the prior version that had busted tutorials.

This is a standard update that you can download through the in-game updater itself, if you already have 4.000 or later. When you launch the game, you'll see the notice of the update having been found if you're connected to the Internet at the time.  If you don't have 4.000 or later, you can download that here.

This looks like an absolutely delicious update.  If only I could find any in my current game...

Speaking of which, last I recalled, black widow golems actually had 6000 base armor, not 0.  So I'm not sure if this is a nerf or a buff.

Do all tractors do the paralysis thing now? I seem to have an entire wave paralysed with constantly renewing 1-2 second paralysis. I have Nanoswarms, but even after they all were used up there seems to be something paralyzing things.

Yep, apparently the logic managed to "spread" to tractors in general.

Oops, sorry about that.  I checked very carefully to make sure that the paralaysis would only happen if the TractorBeamsDoParalysisDamage flag was set on the tractoring object.  But I didn't notice that I'd set the default for that flag to true :)  Fixed for 5.023.  Will ask Chris when he can work that in.

For now, enjoy ludicrously overpowered tractor turrets :)  GUDare, this may be the ideal time for you to try to beat 10/10 with wave-sending AIs... :)

Heh, you're right.  I was reading the wrong part of the code.  It was being overwritten by the 6000 line for actual golems.  I had actually buffed the armor for the broken-version.  I bet it was really confused by that.

Since there seems to be a bit of random AI War fixing going on, can I shamelessly pimp this issue that I posted almost a year ago? (Wow, a year ago? Time flies, etc.) It's driving me crazy once again in my latest game since I have a botnet golem that I'm using to make legions of zombies. Unless I'm missing it, there is literally no way to get the galaxy map to show just my ships. It wants to also show every single zombie as if it were my ship. Which is a problem, when I want to know where the ships are that I can actually give orders to. Can zombies be flagged as allies, instead of my ships? Oh please oh please oh please?
