AI War Beta 5.010, "Blade Shield," Released!

This one fixes some of the balance issues with the blade spawners in the hands of the AI in particular.  It also brute-force fixes older savegames, which should be a welcome relief to those affected.   Enjoy!

This is a standard update that you can download through the in-game updater itself, if you already have 4.000 or later. When you launch the game, you'll see the notice of the update having been found if you're connected to the Internet at the time.  If you don't have 4.000 or later, you can download that here.

It won't fix existing savegames where the AI has way too many blade spawners on their worlds, but it should keep those worlds from getting substantially larger in terms of how their blade spawner populations grow.
Well, actually what I meant by:

I don't know what to say...
This is the meaning of "customer oriented people"! You released this even if you planned differently and tomorrow during a voyage by train of 12 hours I can finally keep on playing my game after stopping it for few weeks...
I missed a lot AI WAR, there is nothing so challenging and clever out there...

Great update! This was my main concern in starting a new game since those blade spawners are crazy, now it's no more worries, fantastic.

:D Seriously. Outside one or two other companies, it's getting to the point that good customer service is a selling point :P Just the other day I saw an article about a new BlazBlue patch that's going to have banner ads in it. I think something like that should be Chris' April Fools Joke next year.

Ooh, that's a good idea.  We can sell ad space on the back of golems and spire ships, and occasionally have waves result in a "popup attack" instead of actual enemies.  Players will love this!  Also, we'll have to start requiring all players to give us their email addresses, so that we can find some shady marketing firm to partner with and thus use their personal information to give them targeted ads.  Everybody loves custom stuff, so why not ads!

For the love of god, if anyone ever reads this and thinks I was serious... ;)

In all honesty, seeing an advertisement for a soda brand on the back of a Flagship would be pretty awesome. The humans gotta fund those war machines somehow!

Well yes, that's what I mean. There should be a structure you can build in game, like "Human Advertising Post" or something to that extent, that reduces the cost of your ships by slapping big advertisements on there for bogus firms, like "Syscorp Smart-home AI" or "Galaxy Cola". ;D

Thank you for the update. Never before did I realise how this was needed .. am experiancing blade spawners in AI hands myself for the first time. Which by itself isnt that painfull, combine them with Senital Frigates and other ranged units and it becomes quite painfull, even my Golems have a tendensy to retreat low on health ....
Dont know what it would do to my game if any more bladespawners would spawn, I am now pretty much forced to blitz churgical strikes with 10+ transports and hope the AI doesnt target anything else but the transports. That said, the amount of guardians in my current game is almost insane :)
