Whoops! I thought I'd posted that I didn't have a save for the zelecs/sentinels thing. Sorry about that, but thanks so much for fixing that anyway! Means I might have a save in the future if the game can actually get going against an AI with those ships now.
Edit: Out of curiosity, did muni-boosters just now get a ship-cap on how many ships they can boost, or have they always had it? And what's the ship cap per mark now?
Edit 2: I'm not quite sold on autocannon minipods, but they certainly work much better now. Armor rotting is a helpful ability, especially when pairing them with something that doesn't have armor piercing. They're solidly a "support" ship, rather than a combat ship, now but they work decently in that role. Not sure how redundant they'd be with Armor Rotters, but cloak + speed have to count for something, I guess.
