playing snake type maps, where each wormhole leads to only one path, it seems impossible not to destroy AI's command centres since leaving them alone would have them magically churn out units! theres not even an AI EYE or some special guard post or warpgates around there.

so the only way to stop this is to destroy the command centre, but since this is a snake type map, (with only one wormhole on each planet) it is quite bad since it forces me to increase the AI's progress without much choice. Leaving it alone will sure attack my previous captured planets before it.

That is one of the challenges of a snake map! :D

The Command station will, and should reinforce ;) but you can kill the WH guard posts if you want clearer apssage. After all the AI control the system, so why should it not reinforce? ;)

To get around it only capture every other planet or so, and use transports between them, ;)

Or you can leave the Command Center be, leave a Scout Mk1 on that planet, create a 100 ship group "cleaning crew" whose only purpose would be to travel the galaxy to "purge" those planets you didn't take, before they reinforcements reach a 100.

I usaully use realistic maps myself, so that gives me more options of how I expand and such, but a snake map definatly has a different challenge to it when it comes to AIP and getting to the AI, and being lazy makes it even harder ;P

Not sure AI War is an appropriate game for being lazy :P

You picked one oth the 2 hardest map types imo.

Snake is hard because it is extremly long
Grid is hard because you typicaly have to guard so many WH and there are no choke points.
