Ran into this just this morning, took me a second to realize what had happened.

Wasn't an issue since I had siege's along to deal with starships/guardians but was still unexpected to see them.

those higher level MRLS can deal a TON of damage to zenith/spire stars if your not careful..

Speaking of time, when was the official release of CoN/version 4.0 going to be?
The 25th is now a red letter day for me!  Can't wait!  I hope we get a new trailer, too!  I want to post it all over the internet.   ;D

I'm taking advantage of how the AI chase's though.

Siege's take a potshot at the guardian, all the fleet ships activate and run into the roadblock of the rest of my starships. Because they all come at max speed, they string out and give my starships more time to deal with them.

Which also keeps my starships out of range of any turrets as a bonus.

Not that it's really needed, zenith has 73 million HP, the AI would need dozens of turrets to threaten that.

By the way, Chris has asked me to remove the turret-building behavior from the builder-hybrids (since the AI isn't supposed to have them anymore), so that won't last forever ;)

They'll get something else to compensate at some point, though.

Am I misunderstanding what "Snap Cursor To Window" means, or does this feature just not work? I've been playing windowed because I just don't want to deal with real fullscreen and the irritations it poses when alt-tabbing, but panning the screen with the cursor is an absolute pain because the cursor doesn't snap to the window.

Furthermore, I'd really love to try to make the windowed AI War fill up most or all of my screen (combined with always on top, this would get close to fake fullscreen), but it doesn't seem possible to make the game window larger than the area of my screen that is not covered by the Windows taskbar. Is there something I'm doing wrong here, or are others seeing this limitation? If the latter, can something be done about it?

Guys you need to do something with raid starships in hand of AI.

They have no easy counter.. have crapton of health and when they visit your home planet in 5 (3xII and 2xI) at 25 minute mark you simply lost since there is no way to prevent them from killing your home station. It was maybe a bit of bad luck since I drawn starship commander AI - but it was also quick end of my game.

As for threat - at around 15 minutes mk III&IV started coming slowly few at a time.


Number of guardians per wormhole - does Turtle AI have special modifier for this? (scared seeing wh's with 5 guardians total).

problem seems to be that raid starships are released by scouts.

I definitely agree that any ship should be released by a scout is an issue.

I can't really tell what the individual ship issues are anymore. They're very different than what we played on the old Slim engine. But yeah, we need to deal with Superman ship balance issues and have a general idea of what the ship roles are. I'm not entirely convinced all of the roles made it to unity the same. That's not a bad thing, it just means that we need to understand what a raid ship is supposed to be. Or any other ship for that matter, including the generic fleet ships.

Zenith Mirrors- ah ha! these must be refractive! but no- they are... neutron?

flak guardians seem horrifically brutal against some targets- upon entering a hostile wormhole guarded by a singular MK I flak guardian, the 120+ MK II zenith mirror element of my fleet was shredded in under 20 seconds

Snap cursor to window is an old setting that I'd hoped to be able to male work on unity, but can't. I'll have to remove it. As for the sizing, I'd not seen that issue but it would also be internal to unity. Man I hate having my hands ties on stuff like that.


On the rest of the complaints lately in this thread: lots of repetition there, so nothing much for me to add.  I kinda crashed yesterday, but I'm back today and there will be a couple of patches.
