You mean the friendly enclaves?  That wouldn't be expansion work, but it's on my normal-update list.  The main thing is having some not-totally-braindead AI for them.

Seems like every big expansions for AI War has been announced when I have been on vacation. Guess I will have to wait the next 3 weeks to see what is happening again :D

I should have known better than attempt any temporal prediction at Arcen ;)

Dealing with the crashes and whatnot took longer than expected, so while the expansion anchor feature is coming along pretty well we think it needs more time before being revealed, so we're targeting next week (sometime in the August 6th to August 10th range) for that.

On a related note, plan on adding the 2000 sized sprite pool option?

In any case, I can barely wait for the full reveal.

Yea, he's back and working on it now.  The sprite pool option (set to 1000) has prevented every crash I've heard back on since I added it, so I think the problem is pretty localized.

Hopefully we can not need a pool at all, just one object per sprite size like we had before; I tried doing that last week (and that's what the 0 option on the slider does) but due to some interaction I don't know about that was killing performance, hence the stopgap compromise (which also helps investigate the issue).

If you were a AAA Studio, I'd expect the anchor feature to be either Facebook integration or a Real Money Auction House.  Since you aren't, I'm expecting something awesome.
I suppose metaphorically it could involve integrating a book with the AI's face, but that could be said of all our expansions :)
Does the feature involve a ship that fires (explosive?) books at AI Eyes? :)
