superking -- Really, all shots are able to pass over force fields, so I don't see that as a reason that beams would semantically have to do so.

Shardz -- Thanks for all the thoughts, and glad so much of it is so positive.  Regarding the donations, we do indeed have a page for that.  Regarding the stuff like the buttons on the left sidebar of the galaxy map, etc, those are indeed still action items.  Anything not resolved or closed hasn't been done yet. 

Glad you like the new system!  Mantis deserves most of the credit for making an awesome (and free) product.  But we also worked hard to get it set up in a sensible way for our needs, and a number of folks from the community have been helping out to a huge degree transferring bug reports and suggestions into there from the forums, etc.  Group effort!  Anyway, Keith and I are really reveling in this new system, too, as it's so much easier to manage.

And, hey, now the mark III engineers are more valuable than ever, so that's a plus and a great differentiator from the mobile repair stations. :)

Now you mention it, the mobile repair stations have become a totally different unit, far, far better than before. Actually so much better, that I haven't commented upon them at all, because I feared you might nerf them ;) They are so effective now, that I never buy tugs anymore. Which is good, because the whole tug business had become a mess, with too many types and too much micro. But also bad, because tugs are fun.

I usualy buy 1 or 2 - 100% tug to repair regular ships durring lulls and a few 66% star tugs if I have starships in the area. I personaly never build engine tugs.
Rally points near the MRS is an awesome heal combo.

and the current progression is mk1, boring, mk2, boring, mk3, teleport+cloak.....

can the new progression be mk1, boring, mk2, cloak, mk3, teleport+cloak?

Glad you liked it! I was afraid you were gonna come with great vengeance upon me with "What is this crap!" xD But it does make bugfixing/reporting/searching a lot more sane.

sorry to clarify: I meant when given an attack order against, eg, a turret under a FF, the beam will be drawn as hitting the turret (not stopped by the FF) but the turret will take no damage

When you have to use a hotkey, or leave them in a special mode, just to use them at all you know there's something wrong. ;)

Havent checked, but can lvl 3 engies at least still have teleportation? Pleaseeee?

V3 and exp eng will teleport in 703.    :)
