Just a quick question:

I have a MkIII and Mk IV Ion cannon on a Mk II Planet. Is this intended but unlikely behaviour, or is that not supposed to happen... I have not explored tho whole galaxy, but it seems to me that i have Ion III and IV on Mk II planets, Ion I on Mk III and Ion II on Mk IV planets which seems a bit strange.

Yeah, that's sounding like what it should do.  The Mark I cannons get seeded on every mark III planet, and the mark II cannons get seeded on every mark IV planet.  The newer cannons (III and up) just get seeded at random anywhere, and sometimes they will overlap and sometimes not.  They are fairly rare in the galaxy on most difficulties, though (depending on the randomization for that specific seed, of course), so most of the time you won't see them overlapping.  But that can definitely happen sometimes.

I am massively of the oppinion that the neinzul nest types should be buildable at the zenith trader for human use. I gotta have me a viral swarmer nest 8)

That could actually be pretty cool, yeah. :)  Keith, do you think that could be made to work for being under human control?  It should certainly be expensive, but it'd be no more overpowered than a hive golem or similar.  Having a few of the Neinzul structures being available from the Zenith Traders would be pretty cool indeed. :)

Or maybe we should have a new Neinzul Trader that just provides access to some of the Neinzul stuff, and which is a separate minor faction.  They could be tooling around in a big, passive Mark IV enclave starship.  Then you could have both Zenith and Neinzul Traders roaming around separately, potentially, which would be interesting indeed. :)

I don't see any huge reason why not, just a bit of extra logic.  To clarify, there really wouldn't be anything for the human to "control", it just sits there and spews out uncomfortably large amounts of ships when antagonized.  I guess the cannon could be turned off via low-power mode, and that would also stop the internal production of ships.

Neinzul Trader sounds like the way to go, so as to not unnecessarily establish a cross-expansion dependency for what is essentially CoN stuff.

That's what I figured, but I wanted to make sure that they weren't going to be causing any problems or anything without the AI controlling them.  Sounds like not, great!

Yeah, that was my thought.  Cross-dependencies tend to be... well, you know. ;)
