Ahoy!
« on: August 18, 2009, 05:13:25 am »
Can't remember exactly where I first encountered this game, probably RPS, but since then it has consumed the last 2 or 3 days as I played the demo and read all the reviews, and read your excellent blog Chris. I love it when a gem like this comes along, which isn't often, and what is so important to me, and fantastic to see, is a developer with such a good relationship with the community built up around the game, and of course very active development. That's worth investing in alone.
I was seeking something new to challenge me, as I'm house bound long term with a serious illness, but I think the search could be over  ;)

So umm yeh, great game, and I look forward to contributing and participating, in some small way.

All the best!  :)

Welcome, Morte!  I share your sentiment about Chris's involvement, it's games development Done Right. ;)

Have you played through the tutorials yet?  I've sunk six and a half hours into the intermediate one so far and still going!
I play evenings UK timezone

Hi morte,

Welcome to the forum!

As Huw suggests, it's highly recommended to play through the tutorials first, and be sure to post any questions you have about the game - the community here is very helpful. We always appreciate suggestions and I look forward to hearing some of yours. :)

Have fun!

Hi
Has kept me busy for a long afternoon today, compelling gameplay, one of those ones you find tough to pull away from, just stopped now to eat.  ;D
Anyway all the tutorials done, and watched the vids. Some clever thinking going on,very neat game. Shall be spending hours on this over coming weeks.
Quick question; can I install this on my laptop aswell as my desktop on a single licence?

Chris is cool like that and doesn't use bullshit DRM that doesn't work anyway. One of the many reasons I bought AI War.
