I'd say AI War players are very good at "Adapt or die" ;)

Yup which is why I love this game. It's an actual honest to god old school strategy game where you have to think and react instead of just cruising through the tech tree and staring at the eye candy as you steamroll the map.

On the other random hand, its nice to be able to read a set of patchnotes when an update goes out.. and not have ambiguous things like 'fighters r better now' or 'some balance changes'

EVE has it hold on me as wll, tho the last yer I have sterted to play less and less.

And I am not really happy aobut how CCP are doing things now a days. They are starting to become too big, and too profit driven.

That's why we do them -- having been on the other side of stupid, short, and ambiguous patch notes in other games.  I was never into EVE, but most other RTS games I've played have all been pretty guilty of this sort of thing.

Granted, a mass audience probably doesn't want 30,000 words of detail per patch release.  But in my case that's easily solvable with the summaries that we created upon official releases.

It saves a lot of player effort in doing reverse derivations or looking things up on tables. :)
