Game play question
« on: March 04, 2014, 09:05:28 pm »
The info panel on my AI Prog says the ones I set up have a 2:240 threshold.  The prog is at 140 (floor @28) and has never been above that yet i'm seeing Mk 4 Miss frigs and outposts.
? I've been bouncing off this planet for a while now and the game's in the 7th hour is that the problem?

You're probably attacking a Mk. IV planet. AIP only applies to waves and reinforcements, stuff that seeds at the start matches the level of its planet, if I remember correctly.
I can already tell this is going to be a roller coaster ride of disappointment.

They can seed directly adjacent to the homeworld if the RNG wills it. There was a discussion about this a while ago where it was actually concluded to be an advantage--there are only a certain number of IV planets in the galaxy, and having one so close means that it can be eliminated early on before it has a chance to grow very strong, effectively reducing the number of IVs you have to deal with.
