10 % Scrap only?

don't know if discussed before, but why is it you only get 10% of it's total cost? a tad too much i believe, perhaps 20%, or even 50 %. maybe useful if placing new turrets. (or is it too useful for placing new turrets?)

I don't think this really needs to be changed or discussed about at all.  10% is better than nothing.  Think carefully before you deploy something.

The reason is "fortification based warfare/conquer tactics" ;) Where more than 10% would simply make it too.. powerful.

Thats advancing into AI planets with turret creep or the like

I think this might have been discussed before, but I'll give it a go. 

Maybe have the option to unlock some tech called "Planetary Scrap Yard" which would improve salvage rates at a planet and ships/turrets/whatever could be decomissionsed there for better returns.  Of course the PSY would have an initial cost to build making it not an obvious choice for every planet...

well, it might be useful if you scrap a lot, but who does? i mean scrapping has no real use besides eliminating turrets to make your ship cap back to what is was before

Some heavily damaged ships cost more res to rebuild than to scrap and build new. iirc there is a thread somwhere on the relative costs. I usualy scrap ships that I can build that are 90% damaged.

If you could point me to where this is stated, that would be nice. Afaik repairing is always cheaper, in particular if you use high-level engineers (like the MRS) as the repair costs depend on the time, and the time depends on the repair skill.
