windowed fullscreen

Before version 4 when tabbing to another window (for example instant messenger conversations) the window was just brought up over the ai war window like it would in a window. Now with the new version the game minimises i already tried turning of fullscreen and setting the window size to my screen resolution but it nevertheless had borders on the sides which bother me a bit.

So is it possible to somehow regain this (at least for me) usefull feature?

No, sorry, that's one of the limitations of the engine :(

Unfortunately not.  That's called faux-fullscreen mode, and it's something that the Unity 3D engine doesn't support.  We were bummed to lose that one also, but we gained a lot in exchange for it.  Hopefully a future version of Unity 3D would support this.

Yep, pretty much the way we feel.  Was a favorite feature of mine, too.  There are some third party tools that add faux-fullscreen support for games like Eve Online; they may work for AI War on windows also, but I haven't tested them.

Yea, I had hoped so too about those tools, but it seems that whenever we make a SetResolution call it resizes the window to be small enough so that there's room for the windows start bar, and the borders of the window, etc.  I think all the EVE tool does is position the window, it's up to the app to make it big enough.
