unwanted game stats, please help

I am trying to learn the shortcut keys. So I experiment a lot. Sometimes, when I try to make some of the more esoteric shortcuts, like n + number + spacebar, I accidentally manage to get some kind of game statistics on the right side of my screen, telling me what I am playing, for how long I have been playing, and stuff like that. I do not know how I managed to get this statistic on screen, but what is worse: I do not know how to get rid of it again. Right now I save, quit to desktop and reload, but surely there must be a simpler, in-game way.

Right hand side or left hand side of the screen? Try pressing F3

Yes, this sounds like the debug info on the left -- F3, as carlos says.  Let us know if it seems to be something else!

hehe, oh this is a good one.. thats not quite what he means

if you press ALT + F + 3 you activate the Function 3 key via shortcut.

This works for all F keys, so don't try ALT + F + 4 (yes, you have to hold them all at once, will get tricky for anything beyond 5 ,p)

So this is how you can reach debug without ever pressing F3 ;p

Well... he asked how to get rid of it and we told him - you managed to figure out how he got there in the first place without explicitly pressing F3 though.

Well now he knows how get gets it, and how he gets rid of it in 2 different ways! Aren't we helpful today!

lol, you are most helpful all of you. I must have entered the key combination that eRe4s3r mentions, but F3 takes it away, so all is well. Thanks, all of you
