Unable to forward port (ZyXEL P-660HN-T1A v2 router)
« on: August 25, 2014, 10:30:20 pm »
Hello.

I have been trying for severa hours to forward the damned port on this router and it refuses to open it and I wondered if anyone here might be of assistance.

A screenshot of NAT port forwarding in router setup:

Naturally I feel a bit uncomfortable sharing any IP adresses in public so I left it empty. What I've written down there is the IPv4 adress I get from ipconfig. I'm assuming there's nothing wrong here. I have disabled both the router firewall and windows firewall(s) and it still refuses to work. I've tried putting my computer in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), where computer is no longer behind the router device and therefore can run any Internet applications, such as video conferencing and Internet gaming without restrictions. http://www.canyouseeme.org/ reports "Connection refused". My friends are unable to connect. Turning DMZ off causes http://www.canyouseeme.org/ to result in timeout.

Also at this point I considered using VPN but Hamachi appears to have gone from freeware to $ware. Not really interested in spending money on it.
