Trail Time Remaining

I purchased (the base version) of AI war through steam and I entered in my key. It says the base code is unlocked but despite this, when I play there is a timer for 180 minutes in the top left comer. Why?

Did you restart AI war? You need to restart the program for it to recheck for the keys. For some reason, it doesn't prompt you to do so.

It's not supposed to require a restart, but for some people it definitely is; it's in our bug tracker, and something that we're hopefully going to track down before the next official.  Sorry for the confusion, and please let us know if that doesn't do it!

Restarting is just quitting and reloading the program, right?  Because that hasn't worked for me.

Yes, that's what restarting is. Do you have any expansions enabled, as that might be the problem if you only own the base game.

Ah, I turned off the Light of the Spire Expansion and restart.  It's working now. :)
