Steam license key not functioning on 3.711?

Hi all, me again! I've been absolutely loving this game on my laptop, and now that the unity beta's out am trying to get it all working on the desktop too. However... the cd key supplied with my steam copy won't work on the non-steam unity beta I just downloaded - when I enter it I get a message telling me that it's not a valid key. I've copypasted it out of steam, and also tried entering it manually, so I know it's not just me repeatedly typoing it...

Suggestions? Thanks guys

All license keys should definitely work, so I'm not sure what that is.  I think you must be typing it in wrong, in some fashion, or entering the expansion key into the main game box or similar...

Nope, most definitely entering the key I was given by Steam as the main game into the main game box. The key for the expansion I entered into the expansion box, and it accepted that. So I have the expansion unlocked, but not the main game.


*edit* However, updating it to 3.718 seems to have resolved that issue, so we can mark this one as solved, if a little confusing

That's.... very odd, but glad it worked!

I had that issue too. Make 100% sure you do not have any trailing or prior spaces in the key. Also when copy-pasting, make sure you only copy the key in once. I failed three times due to the above issues.
