Steam and GamersGate

I just purchased Vengeance from GamersGate. I have my game installed on Steam. In the past this has proved not to be a problem, as GamerGate - The Shadows expansion gave me a code I input into Steam. Not so with Vengeance. It started to download. The question- how do I get the Gamers Gate Version to install and work with Steam? I saw nothing on games page on GG to indicate incompatibility.

I got experimental and installed the expansion into the main root of the game folder for AI war on Steam. Just started up and it shows a registered version.

So I think, I am now good to go.
