VotM Installation not Recognized

I have all of the expansions prior to VotM. I bought and downloaded VotM from Arcen and ran the install pointed at the same directory as the rest of AI War. It says I do not need a Key, just run the new installer. Afterwards, when I start the game, the other expansions are listed as active, but VotM is not. What is wrong?

Sorry about the inconvenience, I'm not sure what's going on there.  If you go back to the License/Expansions window from the main menu, is there a checkbox next to VotM?  If so, is it checked?

There is no checkbox. A note says VotM is not installed.

Oh, that means that the files didn't all make it to the right place.  I'd suggest running the installer again; not sure why the files didn't all make it the first time, though.  In theory it could have a different directory.

I tried re-installing and ran the game from the option to do so in the last step of the installation. It gives an error. When I run from the desktop shortcut the game runs, but without VotM.

What error does it give if you run it post-install?  I'm guessing something about the executable not being found (meaning that it installed it, but to the wrong directory, probably putting it at the wrong level in the game directory), but if it's something else that could be significant.

To clarify:

1) What directory contains your AIWar.exe file?

2) What directory is the VotM installer using?

OK, got it to run. I was installing to "C:\GamesXP" thinking the installer would create the directory for AI Wars (which already existed) and then write/overwrite the necessary file.  It does not. I changed the pointer and installed to "C:\GamesXP\AI War" and now everything is fine.
