Some weirdness found in a campaign the other day
« on: July 09, 2014, 05:44:16 pm »
Played a quick game with friends on a small 10 planet map the other day and some things acted a bit weird.

  • There was a planet with two ARS, both awarded the same ship type when captured. Maybe they're assigned by planet rather than ARS?
  • Both the AI homeworlds had 3 mk4 factories (the only ones available). Maybe they want to be placed a certain distance from homeworlds?
  • Achievements for things not present on the map (too small?) were still awarded. In this case the dyson sphere (and I think the trader). Probably just checks if the boxes for them are ticked.
  • Proably not related to the map size but the spire archives disappeared when the owners knowledge was done while the other players had to do with what they had managed to get in the meantime (likely not 9000). Would be nice if you don't have to carefully make sure everyone gets the knowledge.
  • Also not a problem with the map size I believe, but ARS can give you shiptypes already unlocked by hacking backups.

1) Known and you are correct.
4) Spire archives give knowledge to every player simultaneously.  The self-destruction is to prevent AIP-on-death of a useless structure.
5) Known.
