Hmm. Well, it is odd that AI War would be blocked but yet I have had no other issues with other games. Is it perhaps an issue that could be caused by having both the trial and the full version installed (to different places on the computer?) That does seem doubtful to me, and I also restarted my computer, as well as made sure hamachi is the first network adapter used by games (although I assume AI Wars enumerates all adapters when looking). We'll try again with both computers running the full version.
At least you aren't as arrogant as the guy who designed X-Plane, who insists that it is perfect, there are no bugs in it, and any problem is your fault (TM). I found one the first time i played, the game failed to self terminate properly, and then would launch successfully because it was still using the same network port (or was it resourse)
Glad I assisted you and Danc getting in contact. It is always a good thing
I checked the port, and when I ran AI Wars, it did in fact open (as viewed by
http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ ) so as far as that goes, I am good. Theoretically that satisfies any problems that should be existing. He is installing the game now. If it works, you can expect news momentarily.
Edit: Got it to work. I'll have to put up a review on Ranting Gamer if i get around to it before.
In a bit of oddity, my friend's newly built vampires did absolutely nothing to a fighter attacking his space docks. Kind of just sat there and looked at it. Got a few other observations, but i'll get those to you later.
