No enemy waves (solved)

So I've been playing through the tutorials since I just got this game, and in the 3rd basic tutorial it was going to send a wave to attack me on a timer. The timer ran down, and then nothing happened. The message that told me how to prepare for the wave apparently had its requirements filled, since it turned green and I could continue by clicking it. Then I started playing the intermediate tutorial, and the exact same thing happened. Timer goes to 0:00, message has requirements filled, no enemies spawn.

Is there a setting or configuration I could have accidentally changed to do this? Or is it a known bug? I have no idea. Any help would be nice.
(I have all the DLC btw)

Welcome to the game and to the forums :)

Odd about the tutorial waves not launching.  I've been messing around with the wave code lately but the tutorial waves actually use a very different code branch that I didn't think I'd affected much.

Anyway, what would help me fix this is a save file from before one of those waves.  I could just run the tutorial myself but it may be that there's some particular thing that happened in your game that's causing it, so it's easier to reproduce the error with a save, etc.

You'll probably have to play for a few minutes before the waves come, but it's the earliest save I had.
It's worth mentioning that the regular mini waves of 5-20 enemies work normally, coming every little while.

Thanks for the save, I'll take a look soon :)

And yea, those little mini attacks are a totally separate mechanic.  It's actually tutorial-only.  My guess Chris wanted to avoid the feel that would result from literally zero enemies, but didn't want to be generating normal threat (which gets pretty dangerous if you're not careful).

Btw, future bug reports can go in our Mantis bugtracker (link in my sig).  I do listen to in-forum reports (like this one) but I also tend to not notice them as quickly as a mantis report.  It also has a much nicer way of uploading files than mediafire :)  You can also attach save files directly to forum posts through one of the things under "Additional Options" under the post textbox.
