Sorry about the crash, looks like something may be wrong with the install; can you check the contents of AIWar\Sounds\ and see if it has ShotStar.ogg or ShotStar.wav?

Weird; do you see other files where it has the wav but not the ogg?  The wav files are just 0 byte placeholders since we switched to using ogg for those.

Anyway, I've attached a copy of ShotStar.ogg that you can drop in that place to fix the immediately obvious problem, though if you have more missing .oggs there will be other issues.

And you're welcome, and welcome to the forums :)

This can happen if you updated a really old copy of the game to the latest version, in a lot of cases.  I'd suggest doing an install of 3.120 over top of your existing folder just to avoid any missing file issues, and then the beta patch back over that.  If this one sound effect is missing, odds are that's not all that is missing and you might see other missing-sound-related crashes, pink squares in place of some missing ship graphics, etc.

It sounds like things just generally weren't installed quite right, then.  Installing 3.120 and then putting the beta right on top of that should do just fine.  Hope that helps!
