error at start

I installed the game yesterday and downloaded the slimdx as is a prerequirement for the game everything went smoothly,i didn't executed the game right away.
Today after i double clicked the shortcut on my desktop an error message appeared
here's a screenshot of it (my OS is in portuguese)

if i open the file the text that open is as following:

I'm not sure which version you have, but slimdx hasn't been required since before 2011, we switched to a different engine.

To get the latest official version (5.0), please go here:

And download it from one of the 5.0 mirrors.


If that version still gives you errors, please post the UnhandledErrors.txt file referred to in the error message.

I succesfully installed the version 5.0 and it worked smoothly, actually i had the old version 2.0

I got another problem.
My screen has 1024x600 of resolution the game adapted itself to it i played normally during most time, but when i opened the control menu i got this screen

As you can see i have no "save" or "cancel" option.
If i open this screen i have no choice but to restart the whole game.
It's annoying i even tried the global hotkey to close context popups (left ctrl + space) and i couldn't close it.
Any ideas?

What screen resolution are you running on?  It needs to have at least 800px of screen height to be comfortable, and I think 600px minimum height to be functional at all.  I think you may need to upgrade to the latest beta using the in-game updater to have that screen work properly at 600px height screens.

Updated the game, but didn't tested the issue on CTRL menu.
I wanted to ask something :

Is there a translation to brazilian - portuguese? if not, i'm a native brazilian and i'm willing to translate it.

Actually i made up this decision since my friends don't know english as well as i do, and i wanted they to understand the game deep strategy.
If i'm accepted to translate it, this will be my first job, to say the truth i don't know which program to use to translate it, but i'll give it my all.

There's not a translation to that language yet, but we're not really pursuing translations for this game directly at the moment.  The game has a massive amount of text, and the text changes frequently, which makes it an expensive proposition that hasn't been worth it the two other times we've tried it.
