missing pictures

 So, i convinced another friend to buy AI war and all the XP, I was with him this lunchtime when he installed the game and XP and there were some problems when we loaded some of my saved games. There were quite a few missing pictures, and some weird text related to missing stuff appeared in the log too.

 The install method was install in order the game and XP from http://www.arcengames.com/w/index.php/aiwar-downloads and then for vengeance copy the /5 folder from steam folder into his not steam game folder. Everything seems ot work fine from 10 minutes testing except the missing pictures (some champions and fortress modules at least).

He sent me his debug file a few minutes ago and i cleaned it up and am posting it below:

That looks like a pretty munged up install, in terms of what's missing.

What I would suggest is:

1) If the steam version is also messed up, do a complete re-install there
2) Once the steam version is working well, copy the ai-war folder out of that to another directory outside steam
3) In the copy, delete the steam api dll
4) In the copy, run the AIWar exe

And it will run with no reference to steam, and presumably have all the assets intact
