minimap not showing in main screen?

Hi all, I just bought the game, running version 4.053 from Steam. I have seen in the manual that the minimap should be shown in the corner upper right but I don't see nothing there and I can access to it only pressing the map button in the lowerleft corner...
any help? Thanks

It looks like you have an old version of the manual, somehow.  That's how it was in 3.x and before, but in 4.0 it's just the big "macro map" now.  You can hold T to access it quickly.  You might want to use the version of the manual from in the game folder itself, though the steam version should have been updated, too.  A lot changed between 3.x and 4.x, and that's just the tip of it.
