mark IV ship cap of 0 bug

In my game I noticed that the ship cap for all  mark IV ships (but the mark IV scout) that have been unlocked is 0.

using Prerelease 6.042 and Ultra low ship caps

attached the save game to this post for anyone who wants to try loading the game.

Works fine for me.
If warheads can't solve it, use more warheads.

Could you post a screenshot (press f12 ingame, then attach from your screenshot folder), of it showing ship cap 0?

It could be you unlocked a ship when you already had a full mkIV cap of them reclaimed, in which case you would not be able to construct any new ones until some of the reclaimed ships died.

here is a pic of what I see in game.

it tells me that I have 0 of 0 mark IV bombers in use.

In the screenshot, you're in a champion UI (which has ship caps of 0 by design). To switch back, press control+L.

I think you might have attached the wrong save, because it shows a FactIV working normally, and no champions in sight (and no planet named Keisi, for that matter).

I downloaded the file I uploaded and used that, and I found that is the right file up there.

it has two champions are one normal player.

Player 1 is a champion, player 2 is a normal, and player 3 is a champion.

I just found out why we couldn't build those mark IV ships as I was looking in the patch notes a few minutes ago.
I found this line for the Mobile Space Dock (which is what we have been trying to use)
"Now also has the capacity to build mkIV ships that you've unlocked mkIII of, if you ALSO control an Advanced Factory. "

In this game my ally has ally control for his ships turned on and I can tell his ship yards to build anything I might want to try building. I do sometimes order some of his ships around or build a unit or two. I only noticed the 0 ship cap for the mark IV ships when he told me he couldn't build any mark IV ships from his Mobile Space Dock.



I guess this is just me and my friend not knowing the little detail about needing the mark IV factory before the space dock can build the mark IV ships.

 I think a line somewhere in game should be added to tell the player that the Mobile Space Dock needs the player to control a Advanced Factory in order for the Mobile Space Dock to be able to build those mark IV ships. If it doesn't already have one.

on a side note I did notice that I was able to build the mark IV scout without the Advanced Factory so that might be a bug.

I think it was your asking of questions that made me go and look up the space dock in the patch notes.
