Human Raid starships not attacking the target I tell them too

I don't know if I am doing something wrong or what but I am still new but I have been using Human Raid Starships for gate raiding but sometimes when they get to the enemy command station and I tell them to target the Warp Gate, they instead often attack other ships and I have to repeatedly click on the warp gate and they sometimes listen to me and attack it but I have had a few raids fail because they would not attack what I told them to, instead attacking ships.

I can't be sure about your specific circumstances, but if you order a unit to attack something that's immune to your damage, the unit won't bother trying to fire.  I don't think warp gates would be on that list though.

You're not using v- or x-moving, right?  Naturally, giving orders to attack anything along the way to your target will cause great distraction.
