How do I take a screenshot?

yeah, F12. But what if you want to take a screenshot of the Galaxy with Planetnames? Ctrl+F12 does f*** all

In the olden days (3.120) you pressed PrintScreen and got a screenshot. However, now you only get a black screen with a mouse cursor (tried using IrfanView, but that just does the same thing more elegantly :-))

I tried remapping the screenshot to CTRL+F12, but then it still only takes screenshots when I press only F12 and does nothing when I press both.

Any tips?

I'd suggest using something other than Ctrl to show the planet names, since that's probably what is conflicting with the screenshot key.  Most likely that's some sort of windows interrupt or something.

You can turn planet names on in the settings and take a screenshot with F12 if it is a once in a blue moon kind of deal.  Then just turn them back off.

Thanks for the quick answers,  I think I prefer the option to always show the planetnames and not see them with CTRL. I hadn't seen the option for the always on.

If you have the Steam version, F5 is default bound to taking a screenshot.
