[FIXED] AI War: - Starts from steam folder, crashes when launched from steam.

When I launch AI wars directly from steam it crashes at "Gameinit: 4". When I navigate to the steam installation folder, "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\AI War Fleet Command," and launch the game directly, it works completely fine.

I tried turning off the steam overlay, it did nothing. I tried finding the long sought after "UnhandledExceptions.txt" and I can't for the life of me find it. All I really ask for is to find that file, I can probably manage from there, but it's not in any of the folders and not in appdata. There isn't even one on the desktop.

Anyone have any ideas?

I don't know that any of the error logs will let you solve it on your end, but most of them go here for a steam install:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\AI War Fleet Command\RuntimeData\

(assuming it's on the C drive, of course)

Note that you might not find a particular log file if the game has never reached a point where it would log something to it.

Anyway, if you do see any log messages related to the crash-on-startup when running from steam, please do let us know, as it'd be great to figure out what's happening   My steam copy runs just fine, so it isn't being helpful in that regard.

Well apart from "output_log.txt" there is nothing, and that log only tells me what I already know, that it got to "Gameinit 4" and stopped.

It works, for some reason. I don't know what happened, I just went onto steam today and it got past gameinit 4. Well, that was strange.
