Trying to update to 4.0

I can't seem to update my version of AI War from 3.8 to 4.0

Originally I bought my copy from Steam, then Zenith.  Children of Neinzul I bought directly from Arcen but the in-game updater doesn't even seem to realise that 4.0 has been released.  Is there a file I can download from somewhere and manually update it?

Just to be clear, you're currently on version 3.800?  That should be auto-update-able to 4.0, I think.

But doing a full-install isn't a bad idea; the full-installer download links are here:

Yea, we ported the game to a different engine

Short story is that you'll need to use the full installer.

Ah, that reminds me.  I do need to put out a new "3.190" version of the old game, which just notifies existing customers about the new version of the game.  I'll try to do that in the next couple of days, but right now I'm kind of decompressing from this whole run-up today when it's not something super time-sensitive.  The official release on Steam should be... any time now.
