I don't really see a huge amount of camera shake, although I do see there is a tiny bit.  I'm not sure what that is about, exactly.  It's only when you are way zoomed out, right?  Or no?

I will test it both ways now its really no big deal it does not seem to effect ship movement or frame rates.

When you fully zoom out you can barley see it when you press space bar and let the camera move with your ships but when zoomed in the ghost of the image moves out farther from the ship.

Edit: with a group of ships holding space bar the camera shakes and some ships you see a double ghost image of them and some you do not but it only happens if you are using the space bar for the camera to move with the ships. It does not effect game play or the frame rates in game that I could see.

I'm about to sign off for the night, but would you mind doing me one favor?  If you revert to version 8.003 (it's an option in the steam settings under betas), do you still see that behavior?  I'm not sure how new this problem is.

Thanks again!

I will try I also could go all the way back to 8.000 and try it as well I have that backed up.

Edit: Ok no problem on version 8.000 it did not do it on that one, I will try it on 8.003. I still have that version backed up, I tried it no problem on that version as well it was the store version but I do not think that makes a difference.

Edit2: I also tried version 8.006 no problem on that one either.

Edit3: I also tried version 8.008 no problem on that version either. The last one I have backed up is 8.011 I will try it as well.

Wow, that really narrows it down a ton -- thank you for that!  I will see what I can find tomorrow, that's definitely specific enough for me to figure something out.

I also backed up the current STEAM version to my hard drive to see if that made a difference it does not so it is not the STEAM client doing it.

Okay, there is a new version 8.011, hopefully that helps: http://arcengames.com/mediawiki/index.php?title=AI_War_-_Current_Post-8.000_Beta#Official_8.011

@DrNoid: I can't duplicate the pausing... thing, but I was on my windows machine.  I'm going to fire up my linux install and see what I can see in the latest version.  What are your performance settings (under the Stats screen in-game) set to?  If those are set very low, then it's supposed to be choppy -- that's basically what that does.  You might go for 50ms or higher to make it look nice and smooth (but cost more CPU).  Are you playing multiplayer, by any chance?
I hadn't changed that setting, it was on 50, I guess that's the default? I've set it a bit lower, since my machine has no problems with it.
I wasn't playing multiplayer.
The latest versions works like a charm again :)

Sweet, glad it works again! :)

Should actually be faster now than it was before, too.  Particularly on lower-end machines, which may not apply to you, but is nice for those who it does.
