Wormhole battle mechanics?

I think it's just a quick question this time. When you go through a wormhole and come swarming out, is there any downtime while your units are positioning where the enemy has free shots on you, or is it treated as normal from the moment you're in-system, despite the pretty swirly graphics?

There is a fade-in time where your ship is literally fading in, and it's basically not on the board during that time for either attack or defense purposes.  But it becomes able to attack the same instant it becomes able to be attacked.

Yeah; and I think that during that fade-in time it's actually allowed to target and be targeted, just no shots get fired, but we changed that so many times I'm not sure anymore.  But anyhow, there's a briefly little window where your "pilots" are getting to survey the enemy and vice-versa, and then they're fully out of the wormhole and going great guns at each other. ;)
