- is there any way to highlight warppoints in a system ? i.e. i want to spread scouts from within an AI system through the various wormholes. but i cant find them. i always have to scroll zoom in and out big time
Hold down CTRL and they'll pop up on top of the local defenders.

There is also an option to make wormholes draw on top of ships/structures by default. I turn it on because for how I play, this is crucial information to have at a glance.

- How can you find Stealth Guard Posts ? Is there a command to tell your scout strikecraft to randomly patrol or do i really need to unlock the decloacker just for the range increase ?
- Does a Black Hole Generator block supply ? I tried to knowledge a world with AI Command and BHG, brining in a mobile builder to fortify the hacker. But i couldnt build turrets ?

I usually keep a close eye on the behavior of ships, and if I see any popping in or popping out of vision inexplicably, then I know there is a high chance of a stealth guard post there. Also, guard posts tend to be near resource deposits or wormholes, and stealth guard posts are no exception.
And when all else fails, there is the tachyon warhead. ;)

In terms of a "auto tachyon beam sweep the area" command, you are not the first to request something along those lines. I remember seeing a suggestion somewhere of a command to automatically queue up moves in a "spiral" command over the planet's buildable area (which guard posts are limited to), for this very sort of usage scenario.

Not that I am aware of, but it has been a while since I have tried to do something on a planet with a hostile BHG until I am strong enough to just "bum rush" (or tactictally raid it) the BHG to destroy it my first military visit to that planet.

How on earth did you pull that off? A mouse click sequence type program, or did you do it by hand?

By hand with formations and Shift-Click destinations.

Edit: I might as well quote Keith on this one, as he made me laugh my ass off and still makes me chuckle every time I think of the comment...  It's heavily paraphrased to how I think of it every time I have to do it:

"Alright, you morons, shut off your sensors and tell me when you RAM the damned thing!"

Pay attention and then jump them in the system on the way in.  There's really no 'defense' against them but awareness and anticipation.

Catch them in a midsystem and while it might cost you half your fleet from it's buddies you're still better off popping it.  Best choice is to realize you're going to light it up in its home system and whack it there.
... and then we'll have cake.

If you're playing with spirecraft on, spirecraft shield bearers continue to project their forcefield even when EMP'd, and so could theoretically protect an affected command station long enough for you to bring in relief forces.  Not that you'd necessarily want to station a s-sb on each of a bunch of border planets, of course.

I can't recall, but aren't Transport immune to EMP, and therefor protect their cargo allowing you to hide a response force in Transports in the same system about to get hit by an EMP?

For some reason a cross planet wave with 1500 ships just showed up. Why did it happen, and where will it strike in 13 minutes ?

thanks

Two things cause CPAs.  The first, and most common cause, it simply time.  Depending on difficulty it'll happen anywhere from every 3.5 to ~5 hours.  The second method is the Core CPA Guard Post, which you'll only find lights up when you land a military unit on a homeworld, otherwise you won't notice.

Now, where is it going to strike?  Everywhere.  This event is to make sure that all those systems you haven't been defending because your whipping boy has everything on it are about to be heavily threatened.  Expect to lose a few satellite systems and make sure the most important ones (Fact IV, important fabricators, etc) are well guarded with fleet.
... and then we'll have cake.

Will these ships show via wormhole or spawn within the systems outer border ?

CPAs don't spawn at all. Cross planet waves grab guarding ships from other planets, free them from their guard duty, and then they will just start heading towards you. You don't know where they will head to, and in fact, each ship nay choose different planets to go to.
