1. I build several counter sniper turrets, and they seem to do nothing against sniper ammo (although it may have been spider ammo, not 100% sure). The enemy builds a single counter sniper turret, and it acts like a force field against my sniper shots, blocking everything. Perhaps I was being attacked by spider turrets instead, and didn't notice? Why do my counter sniper turrets not seem to have any effect?

2. My eye bots are acting like non-combat vessels when I click drag. I know they provide scout intel, but they seems plenty combat oriented to be included in the normal click drag group, without having to move them separately or add them to a control group with other combat ships like i would with a science vessel. Can I make them be selected like a normal combat ship?

Btw, love this game. Thank you so much for not including restrictive DRM! Makes it so much easier to use, especially since I mess around with my computer hardware a lot. Your stance on DRM really makes a difference here, since I never have to worry about a license key coming into conflict that I already used on an old install.

I do have a question about the demo and license keys. Just got my brother a new computer, with a GT220 graphics card so he can finally play some games. He is interested in this, and will buy it if he likes it, but the limit on the demo kinda makes it hard for us to play a full game multilayer so he can get a feel for it.  Would two games with the same license key work together in a multiplayer game (if I let him use the one I bought)? Do you even condone such things, or would this fall under piracy/stealing? Thanks for you input! (Assuming a staff member patrols the forums, if not the second part of this question is moot)

Welcome to the forums!

1: It seems that countersniper turrets really make the shields of every unit under their protection reflect ANY sniper shot that goes their way, but it seems to take a few moments to take effect.
I havent used snipers on the offensive in a while, so I couldnt really comment on Ai countersnipers

2: not really.. never used them myself >.>

as per the multiplayer issue, if you install the latest pre-releases, you get a 3 hour timer I believe.

Welcome, Fleet.

1. Counter-sniper turrets do block shots from spider turrets, but they will only start tracking enemy shots that are fired at units whilst they are under the protection of the turret. Any shots that were fired earlier and are already en route (such as those fired whilst the turret was building) won't be blocked.

2. Holding control while left-dragging will select all units in the selection box, not just the military units. This will allow you to select the eye bots, too, but be careful not to accidentally select your other non-combat units when doing this. Alternatively you might try assigning the eye bots to a control group. Perhaps the eye bots should have their selection priority changed so that they're considered to be military units, what are others' thoughts on this?

With regards to your multiplayer query, it is technically possible to use the same license key to play multiplayer, though I will refer you to a post made by x4000 (CEO of Arcen, and programmer of AI War) on this issue - http://arcengames.com/forums/index.php/topic,46.msg89.html#msg89

Glad to hear you're enjoying the game, and thanks for your support!

You'll soon discover that staff and helpers are always prowling around here.  (;

Under my judgment, the three hour time limit is better than what it used to be (one), and that is probably enough for your brother to make a decision as to whether or not he believes it is a worthy venture.

Happy holidays, and have a great time with AI War regardless!
I'd take a sea worm any time over a hundred emotionless spinning carriers.
