selecting groups of units

Is there a way to dis select a group of units after dragging and clicking them all?

I have a big fleet in the middle of the planet and a few gatherings in other parts of the planet. After i drag and click the big fleet i want to dis select certain ships like just fighters with less than 33% health or maybe all mark3 fighters

if i use the menu thing on the right of the screen it would not be good because i have ships positioned at other parts of the planet that i do not want to move.

I cant seem to use alt click with the small menu that comes up with the number at the bottom middle of the screen that tells you how many units you have selected

You can select specfic unit/mk levels from the bottom.. click on the number, and it will show all types.

I believe there are hotkeys for selecting damaged units, but I havent figured them out yet. Probably some hand-dislocating shift ctrl alt *number key* + m... with the home and end buttons increasing or decreasing the 'damage level'.

First you highlight all the units, then you left click the number at the bottom middle of the screen. then hold the cntrl key and right click the unit you dont want in the list. you can repeat the left click the number and then hold cntrol and right click the ships you dont want over and over till you only have the ships you want.

As for selecting ships with only 33 percent health. have no units selected, then press and hold the N and 8 key. then drag your mouse and highlight all the units in the target area. This will leave you with all the units you highlighted that have 33 percent or less health.
