do you ever put turrets right next to your command station to protect from tractor beam resistance and cloaking types?

also, i wish we have some cool turret placements

Yep, I usually put five of each next to my home command station. And, as my other CSes are blocking the wormhole route into my home systems, my turrets are usually concentrated there too.

I usually Place them a bit of a ways off, but so that the base is still in it's range. That way the turrets don't end up under any shields I put up, but the base is still covered nicely.
