New starships!

I've always had a bit of a soft spot for the flagship line, so now that it's been broken into three types of starship I'm curious to hear some better players' takes on the new ships.  Are people finding any of them worth using?

They seem pretty sweet, considering mk1's are just 1000 K. The Spire one will also now be the bane of all Grav Drills  :)

It's nicer when you can obtain 8 of 12 easily when facing gravity, when the old line had just 2 of them hidden behind the Zenith. With the niche uses, it's okay not to give the mark-Is automatically to the player (although the same could be argued for some other starships).

Whether they can supplant the knowledge required for other things, I don't know yet.

I'm actually thinking about making a game that focuses on Starships, with fleet ships for defense only (although I might bring along large, small-cap fleet ships that are similar to Starships).  I'm curious to see how well Starships stack up.  Right now, I typically keep them set aside until I have to gouge an AI Eye.
My other bonus ship is a TARDIS.
