Riot Control Starships

I can't figure out how to get the Riot Control ships to actually build any of their turrets, I click on one to put it in the que but it just sits there. What am I missing?

Odd, even the ship by itself should be able to build its own modules, though it could take a moment for the build timer to count all the way down.

Do you have friendly engineers nearby?  They can help it go faster.

I forget if riots need supply to build their modules, but in any event is it in a friendly system?

Are you perhaps out of metal/crystal/energy?

I'm such an idiot, I had built one of the template riot ships with weapons already built in.

magirken: In case you didn't know it, you can use the improvements made for champions to remodel riot starships. I suggest using Ctrl-M to save a blank template so you can reset them easily, then reload the saved design and apply to selection.

Not stupid, no problem   Or, at least, if that was stupid then I make similarly stupid mistakes fairly frequently

Enjoy your riot starships.  They're not conventionally powerful but properly handled are some of the most useful units in the game.
