low power mode to normal power

I have a small question about low power mode and pressing k

I was playing the other day and tried to take my space planes out of low power mode using k but it did not work.

I checked to see if i had enough energy and i did indeed have more than enough.

it seems like some times k works and at others it does not

k? I usually just use the button in the bottom left with the play/pause symbols.

yea i would too but going back and forth on a touch pad is really annoying to do.
maybe there is a way to select just low power ships? or just normal powered ships so you don't accedentally send low power ships to get killed.

It might be the same bug that makes + or - not always work honestly.

This. I was playing today and recently powered on a golum. I had to halve my forces to make up the difference in power usage but it was really awkward picking out the ships that were powered off and those that were on out of the blob that i had built. Maybe some combination like P+selection would pick only powered on units.
