Help on stupid strategies and micro-management
« on: January 09, 2014, 10:43:18 am »
My strategy is based on zerg rush with neinzul and other inexpensive units and when I send them with FRD over many systems, they wipe every ship and guardian that is there. It's a nice, a bit expensive and stupid strategy that can be done without any management but then I have to "clean up" on some systems. So, my questions are:
1. Is it possible to order them to stay on a planet at least one second? when I send them to some edge of the map(only one link to other systems) to patrol, they go through wormhole and in the next millisecond go back, without attacking it. even with FRD on.
2. How do I select non auto-attackable structures to the attackable list? I mean stuff like Ion Cannons and counter-spy and alike who are ignored by FRD.
3. After capturing many planets I have a lot of ships in the docks and in research pages. The problem is, docks have extra page like [Fleet 2] but research stations don't, making some new stuff be lvl 1 forever.
Thanks for your time

Welcome to the forums!  :)

Oh!  FLEET 2 was only added in a recent patch (see notes), and based on the notes only appears on Space Docks, Mobile Space Docks, and Advanced Factories.  I don't think anyone's thought of adding it to science ships, yet.  I've made a note on Mantis on your behalf, here.

Thanks for submission. Never thought that there's some kind of bug tracker.
And what about others? I still have to make everything manually?

No worries.  I'm not sure about your other questions.  Actually, I don't really understand your first question.  Does the practically-ignored planet belong to you or the AI?  Does it contain a redirector post?  Does the planet the ships are going straight back to have a legitimate target for them to attack?

they enter and then leave. it's an AI planet but the same applies to any planet that has only one wormhole. when I order them (with FRD) to enter a wormhole and then (when hopefully they obliterate everything) move to another planet. there's no redirectors, only enemies that can attract my ships. still, my ships enter the planet in frd, and then they leave without attacking any enemy ship. everything works fine when they have to move through planet by entering one wormhole and leave via another one. I can send screenshots to clarify if necessary.
