I am running 3.0 with the expansion enabled. I'm in a game where the ai rebuilds buildings I kill very quickly. I have 9 clean-up and 6 remains builders. They sit in a system with a big fight going on and do nothing. Am I supposed to do something to "enable" them? They aren't paused. Furthermore, they each have a thick yellow line pointing to one spot. I built a Tachyon drone to see if there was an invisible unit there, and there seems to be one. I see a few blue circles without ships in them. I sent a decloaker and put it near one of the blue circles and made sure it was pointing straight at it. It doesn't seem to be doing anything. The attached saved game contains what I'm referring to in the system Isaetju.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jeff

The rebuilders are really for your planets, rebuilding your own mines and turrets that get destroyed.  They will only work on nearby remains if you don't put them in FRD mode.

The cleanup drones also work on mines and turrets that get destroyed, but they do so on enemy planets.  In other words, they get rid of destroyed enemy turrets and mines, but only those that are nearby if they are not in FRD mode.  If there are no destroyed enemy remains left, then there's nothing for them to do but wait until you kill more enemy turrets. :)  Most likely your issue is them not being in FRD mode, though I have not checked the savegame.

Hope that helps!

Thanks. I'll put them in RFD and watch them.

The cleanup drones seem to be working fine now that they're in RFD mode.

I drew a box around the blue circle that has no visible ship in it and it says, "Enemy: 1." It has yellow lines emitting from it to many of my ships and even turrets. I have a decloaker very close to it. Am I even supposed to know what this means?

That's a ship that your decloaker is revealing -- it's a cloaked ship of some variety, but you can't tell what it is unless it opens fire on you.  My guess is that it's a stealth tachyon beam emitter or a mine.  You can target your ships on it to have them kill it (or, I think, they will open fire if you bring them nearby while the decloaker is there).

Glad the cleanup is working with FRD for you!

Ah, I see my ships attacking the invisible units now. They must be low priority. Curiously, I tried attacking the cloaked units with my sniper turrets and I got the "you can't do that" sound.

Thanks again for your help. I'll stop asking questions now.  :)

No worries.  Always feel free to ask away!  I suspect those are just immune to sniper shots.  And, they aren't low priority because they are cloaked, but rather because they don't actually fight back. :)  Your ships will prefer to shoot at targets that are dangerous first.
