Hardly any enemy turrets?

This is weirding me out. Neither of my AI opponents use many turrets on their planets...maybe five to ten per planet, but that's it. Is this a glitch, or just a particular AI type? As far as I know, none of them forego defenses...

Oh, there are definitely some that forgo most defenses.  Prepare to be slammed on your own defense, though, most likely.  I suspect this would be one of the raider types -- I think Mad Bomber uses almost no turrets, while others use a slight bit more than he does.  Quite a contrast from the turtles, but so will the incoming waves be. ;)

also might be a small chance you acidently bumped the difficulty.  I was messing with setings on.ce and unknowingly entered in a game vs a pair of lvl 1 AI, I was increadably confused untill I looked at the AI level at the bottom right, as I thought they were at 7/6.  Is too bad because the capturables were realy good (decoys and microparasites, almost right next to each other)

I don't think it's a Mad Bomber, since I have yet to see any Bomber Starships. Lots of Raiders, Raptors, and Autocannon Minipods, though. In any case, I'm running difficulties 7 and 7.6 with Moderate/Easier AI types, so they're not Level 1 AIs or anything.

I'm just glad that this isn't a glitch or anything.
