Ancient Shadows Mourner question

Basicly, i think Devs did a rather poor job with the Journal entries of Ancient Shadows
I entered the third nebular and its the one with the Mourner Neinzul Hive.
No, i have friggin clue what i should do. Should i destroy all the Prison Cell ? Or destroy not a single Prison Cell but help protect the Neinzul Base ?

Basically, the prisons will spawn a small force of ships every time that they are destroyed.  They will explode automatically at a slow rate, but if a few are destroyed in quick succession then you get better rewards on mission completion. (I think) You want to destroy them fairly quickly so you get good stuff but not so quickly that you get overwhelmed.
