40K Planet Names
« on: July 08, 2012, 12:25:39 pm »
On the topic of planet names:

If you happen to like Warhammer 40K, I pulled most of them from the lore except for a few of the longer ones, typically people's names, and the planets from our solar system like Earth and Mars.  It comes to 103 total, so not quite enough to cover a 120 planet game.

I was wondering why I didn't see "Holy Terra" in the list :)

Its only misleading for those who don't know about 40k, though.

I know and knew about it. 40k is first and foremost a number. Say W40k or Warhammer if you don't like ambiguity: )

This, sir, is where you were clearly mistaken.  When counting, the proper sequence is: 39,998...39,999...the number 40,000, not the game...40,001.

Forty thousand is primarily a number. 40k refers to Warhammer.

9k=9000
2,8k=2800
40k=40000
40K=40000
"40K Planet Names" = 40000 Planet Names = 40000 different planet names.
Warhammer 40K Planet Names = Warhammer 40K Planet Names = planet names from the Warhammer 40K game.
