Saturdays Warriors
« on: September 03, 2009, 10:50:30 pm »
This Saturday a few of us from IRC were planning on getting together and playing a campaign. We were planning on starting at 3pm EST (8pm GMT). A few people expressed interest.

This is exciting, it will probably (if I don't get more time to play tomarrow) be my first actual campaign!

I am planning for this game to take place over Hamachi. The game will take place over Echo35's T1 line, graciously donated for our awesome gaming.

I may also be able to obtain us access to a Teamspeak server.

So who's up for a game? any questions or comments?

Confirmed Players:

Volatar
Echo35
WindowsMEXP

Not only would I like to join, but I would like to offer my T1 connection to host the server instead of using that Hamachi crap.

Well thats an awesome idea. Can you host voice too, or should I still try and get the TS server?

Shaping up to be awesome very quickly this is.

I would totally be up for such a game.  I just completed the tutorial campaign.  So if you would not mind a newbie playing, I'd love to join.  I live in Italy (so I believe it'd be about 9:00pm here) so I'd only be able to play 3-4 hours as I have some things to do early Sunday morning.  So if you just tell me when and where, I will be there.  I also have a mic so I can hook in for voice as well.

Awesome.   ;D

I can only play for 3-4 hours myself. My family is going to the movies Saturday night.

Meet in the IRC channel. Maybe a half hour or so beforehand.

Of importance: We will be running 1.201. NOT Prerelease 1.202A. I want this to be a good, stable game  :)

Hey, just letting you guys know, I can't  to connect to the AI IRC Channel through Hydra IRC.  I still want to play, but you might have to email me the information before hand or I also have skype.  My email is [email protected] and my skype is davidthemonk.  I will work on getting a connection in the meantime.

Still no luck, it keeps saying connection timed out.  Now I am going through a proxy server for my internet access, so I am not sure whether that would affect anything or not.

Maybe. IIRC, 6660-6669 are the ports for IRC. See if you can get them open somehow.

No luck, I still get a connection timed out message even after disabling the proxy.  We might just have to communicate through email or some other medium until we start the game.

You sure the game actually works? What ISP do you have?

Yeah the game works fine, as does my internet connection.  i have no trouble surfing the web, downloading stuff.  I am currently living in an apartment in Rome, so I don't know the service provider as the internet is wireless provided and maintained by the landlord.  Everything works, if you want I will be up for a while, if you want to do a test game you an email me and we can set something up.
