Married With Kids? - Looking For Casual Game - ~10:30PM - ~2:00AM EST

I'm looking for someone to have a running game with.  I'm older now (31) with a wife and two kids (4 months and 2 years) and this is usually the only time I get to myself.

This would be low pressure/commitment.  If we both happened to be online at the same time and felt up to it we would play.  Otherwise, no worries.  I'm pretty new to the game but really want to get some co-op in.  Expansion preferred but not necessary.  If you find yourself unable to continue playing, no worries.

Ideally I'd have two games going with two different people to increase chances of having someone around when I'm ready to play.  If we have 3 people with a similar schedule we could all be running two games at once.

Well any days really.  I was thinking it would just be add each other as friends on steam or gtalk and if we both happen to be on and willing to play then we would.  To give you an idea I played pretty much every night this week from about 10:30 to 2 except for 1 night.  If we set up days then people would feel obligated to make it, or let people know when they couldn't etc.  Like I said, low commitment with the chance that life will interfere from time to time.  3 people each having two ongoing games would increase the chance of being able to get into co-op most nights if you wanted to.

That's 8:30 to 12:00 PM MST.  Perfect time for me.  

I'd like to play tonight.  I play at level 7's, and don't really like to go any lower.  I often lose at this level, but that ok with me.  I'm willing to compromise for co-op though.  I like smaller maps with high AI auto progress (about 20 auto progress per hour) and 40 to 60 planet maps.

I like to play most every night around that time so we should play together.  Just need to decide how we can set up the game?  Oh, and I'm not married, but that's ok.

Well, you seem a little more advanced than me, but I'm willing to give it a shot.  The family is at the inlaws tonight so I've got plenty of time.  I'll be in the IRC channel.

I love the idea of a low commitment game at this time.  I'm a bust college kid in EST time zone and this is really the only time I get away from the girlfriend on occasion.  I'm usually up until 2:00AM anyway and I've been looking for an AI War partner or two.

This is a little late for me (7:30 EST - 11 EST would be better), but I am in the same situation (2 young kids looking for a low-pressure commitment game).  If anyone else is interested in starting up a game or two that are hit every once in a while, that would be great.

Sorry guys, life got quite busy for me.  This post resulted in a really fun game with Buttons from the forum here.  We took down one AI world and were on our way to the second when life caught up with both of us.  I hope he still has the save because I'd like to finish it sometime

Maybe you two (InkBlot and Razmus) should start a game.  Best of luck guys, co-op is a ton of fun.

Just wanted to let you know that it is completely possible to add and delete players over the course of a game. So one player can be the "leader" and add/remove players depending on when they have time
