Looking to start a co-op game played regularly on a weekly basis
« on: February 28, 2013, 11:29:49 pm »
I figure weekends are good for most people.  But I'd appreciate any availability listing for anyone who is interested.  I'm EST and can probably make time to play no matter what day.  I would really like to start this.  The only large co-op games I have played have been only one session long so far and I would very much like to improve upon this. Please let me know if you are interested!

EDIT: Weekend times are the most likely for me (pretty much, guaranteed), specifically 11pm-4am EST Fri->Sat and Sat->Sun.

Notes on expansions, minor factions, difficulty, etc:
I prefer to play with all DLC.
I have no real preferences either way on minor factions.
Slightly prefer to play against lvl 9 diff AI opponents (the perfectionist in me has to get those achievements :D), but definitely not opposed to other difficulty levels.
Generally prefer to play with the complex/everything enabled and normal speed settings but I don't mind doing different settings either.

Hello! I would be interested in starting a regular multiplayer game. However, I am a total noob when it comes to this game. Just so you know

TIE Viper, I think I sent you an invite on Steam.

I made a new Steam group, since the official one is too large to facilitate communication, and you can't really cold-call people on forums. Sign up here: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/aiwarmulti1 to see if we can get a group going.

Feldi0606, I don't mind the experience levels of anyone who we get together with.  If we start playing regularly with a group you should pick up pretty fast.  Faster than it took my roommate and myself to figure out what we were doing, I imagine.  My steam account name is Tie_Viper.  You should send me a friend invite.

ShiroIchida, I joined the group.  Good idea with that by the way.  It certainly can't hurt our chances of organizing co-op.  I don't think I got your friend invite but I see a Shiro in the group.  I'm assuming that is you, so I'll send a friend request.  Do you mind if I send invites to the group to the other people in my steam friends list that play AI War?

Upon spelunking around in the forums I added some specifics to my intentions about getting games together.  If those make any difference for people unsure or unable of playing before, please let me know.  :)

Hey - I've been looking for you on Steam the last couple nights.  Up for a game starting Saturday morning?  I have a ton of time this weekend, and, if you're free, we might be able to finish up a 60 or 80 planet game.

I've been working my way up the difficulty from 7, and am now at 8.3.  Haven't tried 9 yet, but, with 2 players, it should be ok.  I'm happy with complex/all expansions.
