Australian weeknights game
« on: May 06, 2010, 05:19:00 am »
Hi

Not sure whether many Aussies play this game, but let's find out!  Seeking expressions of interest for a semi-regular game that happens Mon-Thurs nights Australian time.  I'm in Melbourne, which is GMT +10, and I'd be available to play about 8pm to about 10:30pm, around half of Mon-Thurs nights.

Preferred settings: 3-5 players, around 80 planets on simplistic or realistic maps, around 8 difficulty AIs, 2x waves, all CPA waves, no wave warnings, full fog of war, normal combat style, all neutral factions on, 1 aip/5 mins

Settings open to discussion of course.

I'm happy to host and am equally happy to join others' games.  I don't mind dropping in and out of games if others want to continue without me.

Let me know

Lanstro

Hello,
Well I am from New Zealand and would be up for a game if you are ever keen.
8pm is a little late for me, it is doable but 6:30pm-7:00pm would be preferred.

I play on 60-80 planets - AI7, standard wave settings, partial fog, fast and deadly combat, most neutral factions and 1AIP/30mins
Theres seems to be a clear difference in our skill levels but I wouldnt mind a good learning experience  :P

I wonder if you guys are still playing?  I'm looking for a game in this time zone.  I live in Beijing, so if you're in Sydney I'm about two hours behind, but I could start 8.30-9 your time.  Also pretty new to the game, tho; I've been playing single-player and finding diff 7 fairly challenging.

I'm in melbourne too though I wouldn't always be able to guarantee starting at 8. :/ I haven't played heaps, just used pretty standard settings with random easier level 7 AIs and found it challenging but it doesn't seem impossible.

Seems hard to get the times to line up right, though >.<
